Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection

Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, established under the Ministry of Public Administration of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, was established in 2009. Head Office of National Consumer Rights Protection Department 1 Karwan Bazar, TCB Building, Dhaka. In order to fulfill the objectives of this Act, a Council called National Consumer Rights Protection Council has been constituted. Honorable Minister of the charge of the Ministry of Commerce, the Chairman of the Council, A director general is appointed as a full-time officer for performing the functions, exercising and discharge of the functions as directed by the council. The district office was established at district level to implement the National Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009. In every district, a committee called District Consumer Rights Protection Committee has been constituted. President of the Committee of the Deputy Commissioner Mahuadoy. An assistant director is appointed as a full-time officer for implementing the law at the district level.
