Who can be complaining?

According to section 2 (3) of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, the following person or persons can file a complaint under this Act:

  • Any consumer ;
  • One or more consumers with similar interests ;
  • Any consumer agency registered under any law ;
  • National Consumer Rights Protection Council or any officer empowered to file complaint on behalf of him ;
  • Government or any government official empowered by the government ;
  • Wholesale and retail merchants.
